Internet Info is small and simple as possible for getting and display information about current internet connection.
* display local device IP address and hostname
* display public (ISP) device IP address and hostname
* display location of the public IP address - if accessible
* display location of the public IP address on the map - if accessible
* display DNS information
* display information from Whois database
When the application is started, all relevant information (public IP address, locality, DNS data) are fetched from the internet. This can take up to 30 sec.
The search box is focused and the software keyboard can be displayed.
May be caused by unknown data about IP address or the IP address was previously used on another locality.
The problem can be occurred when the IP address is used for NAT - mobile operator and other ISP (if you compare local device IP address and public device IP address, in this case will be totally different).
If the application detects problem with location, the summary map zoom factor is selected, otherwise you can see the appropriate cities on the map.
DNS data confusing
Data are fetched form internet, so the firewalls and other equipment can change the "visibility". You can check it by using "dig" or "nslookup" commands on our computer.
Only public information is displayed.
You can click/touch IP addresses and hostnames on the Home screen to copy them to the search text box. Also you can type own IP or domain and search them.
Sometimes it is not possible to obtain accurate information, but this behavior is not an application error, but the availability of accurate information :(
